Snowy Egret

Scientific Name: Egretta thula Family: Ardeidae Order: Ciconiiformes
Size: 20-27 inches. Significantly smaller than the Great Egret. Range: SW U.S. Winters and summers along California and Mexico coast. Habitat: "Marshes, lakes, shores, tideflats."
